World Bee Day 2021
This is why we need to save bees!
If living a healthy life and eating chemical free produce is your inclination then bees will interest you surely. Aesthetically pleasing fragrant landscapes and natural foraging can be another reason to learn more about bees. Bees are the most significant care takers and managers of the beautiful world you see around. There are more than 20000 species of bees in the world. Out of all the species honey bees have attracted man the most. Only to the dismay of this tiny little, extremely managed and socially evolved specie. Human beings have not only invaded the honey bees society but have also ruined the bee’s natural world, to an extent that bees have become an endangered species today. Human beings have damaged the bee’s habitat like many other specie they don’t consider important. Most farmers and gardeners use bee traps to intoxicate the bee, which disorients her and she forgets the way to get back home and eventually die in oblivian away from her colony. The use of various toxic chemicals in the name of “ saving crops” is fatal to the bee population, in fact this measure has proven to be way more deadly for human civilisation itself!! Beyond anyone could ever imagine. Thanks to research, its is now very clear that healthy fruits and vegetables will not come to our plate without the presence of bees. Human beings have now resorted to creating an artificial habitat for honey bees, essentially to procure their honey. It is for you to guess the quality of hand pollinated vegetables or honey acquired from artificial bee colonies where the bees assemble honey from hazardous pesticide fed flowers.
If your answer is no to chemicals and artificial life then here are some simple solutions.
1.) Pledge to grow at least two flowering plants. A few flowers you can grow easily are alfa-alfa, dandelions, marigolds, periwinkle, hibiscus, sunflowers, chrysanthemums.
2.) Start composting.
3.) Start your journey towards natural eating, grow some easy to grow vegetables in your space.
4.) Try being vegan for one day in a week.
